MATERIAL
MATERIAL
STAINLESS STEEL
Our jewelry is largely made of 316L stainless steel, also known as surgical steel. The high-quality workmanship and gilding with up to 18-karat gold seals the surface of the material and protects the jewelery from possible external irritants.
Surgical steel has been established in medicine for many years because it is both robust and hypoallergenic. Because of these properties, it is an excellent material for jewelry making. All of our jewelry is therefore also suitable for allergy sufferers.
Pieces of jewelry are made of stainless steel and are also waterproof. You can easily be worn when showering and doing sports.
STERLING SILVER
In addition to stainless steel, we also use 925 sterling silver for our jewelry. Sterling silver is a high-quality base material, but it is more sensitive than stainless steel.
The color and luster of the material are key factors in the use of sterling silver in jewelry. However, the material has its pitfalls. Sterling silver has the property of oxidizing when it comes into contact with external stimuli.
In order to delay this process, the surface of the jewelry is rhodium-plated. This seal protects the jewelry from the outside.
However, regular contact with water and care products can damage the seal. This can be remedied by the appropriate care of the jewelry. We therefore recommend cleaning the jewelry in a silver bath and using a silver cleaning cloth.
It is therefore recommended to remove this jewelry before showering, contact with water or care products
COPPER
Copper is a suitable base material for filigree and particularly fine designs. Copper is a rather soft metal and can therefore be processed particularly well and used to create beautiful designs.
Like sterling silver, copper is a material that is naturally more sensitive than stainless steel. We therefore use the same processes with our copper jewelry to seal it and protect it from external irritants.
The sealing or gold plating can be damaged by daily use and contact with water and care products.
We therefore recommend removing this jewelery before showering and before contact with water or care products.
PEARLS
In addition to the basic materials such as stainless steel, we use pearls to complete our jewelry.
The pearls used are natural freshwater pearls.
Freshwater pearls are characterized by their special shine and color. Since pearls are a natural substance, each pearl is unique in terms of its luster and shape.
Their beautiful mother-of-pearl surface protects them from external irritants, but contact with salt water and chlorine can damage them, causing the pearls to lose their luster.
To protect them from it, it is advisable to take them off before swimming in the sea or swimming pool.
